Euromoney LMG Announces 2015 Women in Business Law Shortlist

An accomplished business executive based in Los Angeles, Deborah Festa currently serves as a partner in the offices of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. During her time with the firm, Deborah Festa has received considerable recognition for her work in investment management and West Coast securitization. In 2015, she earned a place on the shortlist of the Euromoney Legal Media Group (LMG) America’s Women in Business Law Awards.

Designed to recognize the best lawyers in a wide variety of practice areas, the Euromoney LMG awards also recognize important initiatives in areas such as talent management, minority women, work-life balance, pro bono work, mentoring, and gender diversity. Every year, the event honors recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Awards, as well as “rising stars” and women lawyers in Latin America.

Euromoney LMG nominates individuals and firms based on official submissions and preliminary research. The event itself typically takes place at the Essex House in New York City.

Phi Beta Kappa Book Awards


Throughout her career in the alternative investments sector, Deborah Festa has established herself as an industry leader in the Los Angeles area. Aside from her professional activities, Deborah Festa remains active in Phi Beta Kappa, a widely recognized academic honor society in the United States and beyond. Every December, Phi Beta Kappa gives out a number of book awards, which honor outstanding scholarly works in the U.S.

Typically drawn from fields such as social science, the natural sciences, mathematics, and the humanities, Phi Beta Kappa Book Award winners must be accessible to the general reader. First offered in 1959, the Phi Beta Kappa Award in Science recognizes the contributions of scientists to the literary field. Winners of the Ralph Waldo Emerson Award typically submit interpretations of the cultural and intellectual condition of humanity. In the same vein, the Christian Gauss Award recognizes lscholars and critics who submit literary biographies with predominantly critical emphases.
